ABOUT US

TELEVISION

USA NATIONAL SPEEDWAY 2008 was the first television series produced by Tapes Up Productions. Commissioned by Motors TV, the series provided exclusive coverage of the American Speedway scene, including the AMA and SRA National Speedway Championships. Event coverage weaves together the story of veteran American riders such as Billy Hamill and the rising generation of US riders aiming to bring the country back from a lowly 13th position in the world rankings. Official 'Broadcasters' Audience Research Board' figures put 'USA National Speedway 2008' among the top ten shows on Motors TV multiple times during its 20 week run, including a second position finish for the popular '40th Anniversary Season Opener' meeting from Costa Mesa.

USA NATIONAL SPEEDWAY was recommissioned for the 2009 season, broadening its scope to include four different circuits. The series followed the return of 1997 World Champion Greg Hancock to his national Speedway scene and featured his comeback in the AMA National Championship. Meanwhile the 'USA Dream Team' stars of the future continued their progress in domestic racing following their first taste of international racing. Three special one-and-a-half-hour extended shows were included in the series.

Following the success of our USA Speedway coverage, Tapes Up Productions were approached to give an American slant on the UK's growing Flat Track scene. Announced by MCN in February 2011, Motors TV broadcast the full season of the Flattrackuk Grand National Championship and the annual British Indoor Shorttrack Championship at Braintree. The indoor event proved particularly popular with viewers, making it into the top ten of the BARB viewing figures for the week on the channel. We have maintained our relationship with UK Flat Track since, acting as official video partners to the series, which is now broadcast internationally on channels such as Motorvision TV.

Ten years on from our broadcast debut, the re-branded Motorsport TV channel was the home for our latest full season of linear TV coverage: THE 2018 MINIBIKE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP. We also had the privilege of producing all of the racing from the first ever Minibike World Championship. The series and associated video content received a popular following online, boosting engagement with series organisers and correlating with a rise in entries within the growing discipline.

We have also provided ENG services to clients including ITV and BT Sport.
